I have breast fed two babies and my youngest is now 13 months and he only feeds in the middle of the night or when sick. Wondering if is a waste to schedule a consult to start the planning process. Hoping for insight on size, lift and estimate pricing
Answer: You need to wait at least 6 months after breast feeding to determine your final breast size and shape Milk disappears after 6 months and your breasts may be bigger, smaller and/or droopier than before pregnancy. I recommend an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and be measured. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size breast implants. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what is right for them. Answer: Breastfeeding Dear samireson, the ideal timing for breast augmentation when you are breastfeeding is about six months after you have completely stopped breastfeeding. You can speak and visit a board-certified plastic surgeon to further discuss your preferences and the options that are available for you, especially if you are looking forward to having another child. Answer: Breast feeding while breast feeding. Hello, thank you for your question. You can definitely book a consult for a lift prior to when you stop breast feeding, we typically say that the patient should be done with breast feeding for at least 6 months in order to go ahead with the actual surgery. The breasts tend to deflate a bit more and give us a more accurate skin excision. Also lowers the risk of infection if there is less breast milk. Speak to your plastic surgeon about their thoughts and concerns.

Answer: Consults You can book a consult at any time, but for breast surgery, you will need to wait until 6 months after you have stopped breast feeding to do surgery. Also, your breasts are not at their final shape and size, so the surgical plan could change, and you would need another consultation.

Answer: Bellesoma Method There is no problem with consulting in advance prior to surgery. The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
