hello thank you for your question and provided information as well...If you are healthy, a slightly elevated cholesterol may not present a great problem to advance.
Thank you for your question. The answer is yes, you can have a BBL procedure if you have high cholesterol. However, you may need pre op clearances prior to surgery. These clearances typically include bloodwork, an ekg, and letter of medical clearance from a primary care physician, and are based on factors such as age, medical history, and height/weight, etc. I recommend consulting with a board certified plastic surgeon, who can assess you in person and create a surgical plan for you. Best of luck!
Dear maxie444,every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. Most plastic surgeons will recommend you to reach normal cholesterol values prior to surgery. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
If you are otherwise healthy, a slightly elevated cholesterol may not present much of an issue in regard to moving forward.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well. Please talk to your cardiologist to see if you are clear for plastic surgery and then I suggest you to book a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss the best options for your goals.Hope this is helpful. Good luck :)
Thank you for your question. High cholesterol would not be a contraindication for having a BBL as long as you didn’t have any other medical issues that would put you at a high surgical risk. I would recommend consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon who practices safe subcutaneous BBLs and can show you good results.
As long as you receive medical clearance from your physician, high cholesterol does not prohibit you from having a BBL. If you are a good candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), the optimal outcomes are achieved with: 1) use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat, 2) a closed looped system such as Puregraft to process the fat, and 3) strategic micro-packet transplant technique. These three processes have demonstrated over 95% fat graft take. This means that your results will be stable as long as you maintain your weight. As an official VASER trainer, I am routinely referred unhappy BBL patients. One of the most common reasons for disgruntled BBL patients is that patients are not able to accurately communicate their desired buttocks goals to their surgeons. A buttocks assessment tool can be an invaluable tool to communicate to your surgeon the exact buttocks size and shape you are desiring. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a BBL specialist can help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully,Arian Mowlavi MD,FACSRealself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee

Yes, fat can be taken from the armpit area (often referred to as "bra fat") and used for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), as long as the tissue is not breast tissue. This fat is commonly liposuctioned and can be transferred to your buttocks during the procedure. However, keep in mind that while the...
Hi and welcome to our forum! The fat grafted into the buttocks usually has a 60-80% survival rate. Thus as healing proceeds, the volume of the buttocks will decrease. Swelling decreases during this time as well. This usually occurs over the first 6 months. Later fat loss may be attributed to...
