Hello, and thank you for submitting your question. It is a very common question that we get asked all the time. Assuming you are not having a full traditional lower facelift and necklift, it is reasonable that you should be in "presentable shape" in about one week post mini-facelift. By then, all of your sutures should have been removed, and your swelling should be roughly 80% resolved. Good preparation can help recovery. The two most important factors for healing, in my opinion, is to be sure your blood pressure is kept in normal (or even on the low side) range, and your blood is not thinned by outside medications (ie ibuprofen, aspirin, etc.) or supplements (fish oils). Following your surgeon's post-op instructions (without deviation) is also very important. Arnica montana (oral) can also be taken safely and may help bruising. We recommend starting this 3-7 days before surgery.
Typically,my patients are “restaurant ready” and back into social outings in as little as5 days after a mini facelift. A healthy lifestyle, following your surgeonsinstructions, and allowing yourself to truly rest during the recovery will helpyour overall healing process to be as short and discreet as possible.
The healing process in general can take up to one month for the majority of swelling to subside, incisions to close, sutures to come out, and for bruising to completely go away. #Recovery time from a #facelift varies from person to person, but patients can generally expect to be presentable within three weeks from surgery. Patients should expect swelling, bruising, and discoloration of the skin during this phase of recovery (swelling normally goes down after 48 hours; most bruising will go away within two weeks). Additionally, the #swelling will move downward in the first week and the neck will feel even tighter. Do not be alarmed: the sensation will decrease during the first month. The marks from a facelift can easily hidden with “camouflage” make-up which you can learn how to apply. The scars from a facelift mature within six to twelve months from the surgery date. It is during this time that the rejuvenating effects of the facelift will become apparent and the real result will be seen. If you have certain concerns about the procedures and #healing process, it is recommended to call your board-certified surgeon or their medical staff and discuss those #concerns.
Thank you for a great question and for sharing your concerns. Many patients find arnica or bromelein may reduce bruising. Ask you surgeon about their protocol. Most patients can go out or back to work after 1-2 weeks after a facelift. With a mini lift, that time likely will be on the shorter end. I hope you find this helpful. Thank you for your question. Most patients typically stay out of the public eye for a week or two, in order to allow swelling to resolve, and any bruising that may occur to be able to be concealed with cover-up makeup. There are some medications that some surgeons use to reduce swelling and bruising, but every surgeon has their own protocol. I would discuss these medications with your board certified plastic surgeon. Best of luck!
Most people usually heal in 2 weeks there still will be swelling. By 3-4 weeks most of the swelling is gone and healing. By this time its lets noticeable that you had a facelift. You can start wearing makeup 10 -12 days after the procedure. You may want to talk to your surgeon about they require but it is usually standard.
Therecovery for a facelift is usually 2 weeks.Everyone heals differently, by3-4 weeks it will be less apparent to people, that you have undergone a procedure. Cosmetics can be worn on the face as early as 10 days after surgery. By 4-6 weeks most of themajor swelling will be gone.
You should only need 1-2 weeks to be able to go out in public. In my experience bruising is minimal but swelling does persist. Most however resolves in this 1-2 week period at which time the sutures are removed and you can pursue normal activities.
if only a lower facelift is performed, it may take 10 days plus/minus before you feel comfortable to present yourself to the public. you will likely still require heavier make-up and some hairstyling tricks.

Thanks for the question. You should be able to go on vacation by 3-4 weeks after your surgery. But this is valid only with assuming postoperative recovery is uneventful. If any unexpected incident happens in your treatment process, this time can be extended or shortened. I wish you all the best.
