I had a subperiosteal midface lift about 8 months ago. I'm asian and it has completely distorted my eyes and other features. I think that it was pulled up too high. Can this procedure be reversed and if so, who do you recommend as an expert in doing a reversal?

Answer: Correction of a sub periosteal midface lift. This approach to facial rejuvenation is fraught with many potential problems. The only way to fix these problems is to totally disassemble the facelift in reestablish the proper relationships. This should be done by someone who is very familiar with the procedure. I would also encourage you to get a second opinion before proceeding.

Answer: Reversing a subperiosteal midface lift Thank you for your question and for sharing your experience with us. It is hard to answer without knowing the type of mid-face lift, if any tissue was removed as part of the procedure (hard to reverse) and what your specific concerns are. If there is a suture anchoring some tissue that can be reversed (or loosened) then this may be feasible. I would also recommend that you revisit your surgeon and discuss your concerns as they would be in the best position to answer your question.
