2 months after FUE hair transplant. Scattered hair growth. Normal? Will it grow more?

Hi All, I went through FUE hair transplant exactly before 2 months from today and I can notice few hair which have grown (grafts which were placed, not new hair) in scattered places on the recipient area. My concern is that it looks very awful and I am in dilemma if the rest of the hair will grow or not. The area which does not grow any hair are characterized by tiny holes (not too big, but definitely can be noticed by naked eye). Is this normal behavior? Will it grow?

It can take six to twelve month after a hair transplant surgery to see results.  So at two months, it may be too early to judge.

It is normal to have this type of hair growth pattern 2 months after a hair transplant.  In fact, you may be experiencing early regrowth after transplant.  ON average, hair does not regrow after a transplant for 4 to 6 months after the surgery.

Yes, it is not uncommon to have hair grow in at different rates. It should even out over time, and you can always trim it to make the look more even as well. It should be done growing around 12 months. If it's still patchy by then speak to your doctor about why that may be.

The transplanted hair routinely fall off 2-4 weeks following the surgery and start coming back 2-3 months after that. SO, it is perfectly normal to have a scattered hair growth at this time.

At the 2 month post hair transplantation,  it is normal to have a patchy phase, where there is sparse and patchy hair growth. At this point all you can do is wait. The use of topical minoxidil will hasten the growth phase.  Also avoid smoking or being around second hand smoke. Don't judge the results before one year.
