Answer: Caking of crust after hair transplant This crust results from babying the recipient area too much after a hair transplant. We recommend shampooing at least once per day and even twice pre pay if there is oozing. This is done in a gentle manner lathering the donor area and applying the suds gently to the transplant area. Always use a gentle up and down motion but no rubbing or side motion as this can dislodge the grafts. At this point consider applying lubricant such as vitamin E oil, or K-Y jelly to the caked area 1-2 hours before shampooing. The crust will soon start to come off. Please check with your Doctor. Answer: Graft recipient site The receipt area is trying out. Speak to your surgeon about options at this point. You want to be delicate to get crust off and keep hairs in the scalp at this point. Baby oil softens crusts nicely.

Answer: Post op care after #hairtransplant You need to follow your doctors post op care diligently. Some patients assume not washing is better but it is actually not. Therefore at this point you need to contact your doctor for a follow up visit to help you with cleaning the scabs in the recipient area.
