Bifid nipple repair? Is there a way to correct this?

I have one bifid nipple (basically looks like I have two nipples on one side) and not only am I extremely self conscious about it, the often chafe and get really sore. Is there a way to correct this? Will it impair future breast feeding? Could insurance potentially cover it? Thank you!
