Fat transfer to lips?

I am exploring the possibility of getting Fat Transfer into my Lips. I've always been unhappy of the thinness of my lips. I do not want to go the Filler route. I've also investigated the Permalip Implant, My overall question would be Pros and Cons of Both and Estimated Cost? (Oregon)

Brusnagirl.   You are correct to try to understand all ramifications of lip augmentation. It is best to start off with fillers, which are NOT permanent, like Juvederm Ultra plus. If you like the look, then you can consider something more permanent, like fat transfer. If you don't like the look, no harm done. Fat transfer is an excellent long term solution. I am not a fan of lip implants because they look and feel fake, and if they become displaced, must be removed. Costs vary, depending on procedure and geographical location and who is doing it. Board certified plastic surgeons and dermatologists may charge more, but you get what you pay for! You want to find a doctor who is conservative and experienced, so you look like you! Good luck!

All these options are options. . .obviously that's not a very helpful statement but it's accurate.  This is not an all-inclusive review but I'll elaborate:
Fat transfer to the lips:  About $3k-$5k.  Better on the border than in the lip itself because fat graft survival can be uneven or worse graft takes so well you look ridiculous.  Healing time about 1-2 weeks.  Highest risk.  Not permanent.
Filler: $600ish, fast, easy.  Swelling and sometimes bruising can be expected and don't be surprised if you look silly the first 3-5 days.  It's temporary; about 3-6 months usually.  Safe.  Reversible.  Lowest risk.
PermaLip implants.  About $4k or so.  Easy to place.  Easy to remove.  Doesn't add details and shape to the lip but it will volumize your lips as they are right now.  Low risk.  Permanent as an implant but the soft tissue of the lips do thin around it with age.Probably best to try  fillers first.

Fat grafting can be done to the lips.  Many times it has to be repeated to get to the desired result.  I am not a fan of putting a permanent prosthesis in the lip.
