How long after earlobe surgery can I re pierce my earlobes? (Photo)

I had surgery to reduce the lobes because they were really long and hanging...Also will this scar ever go away? I tried putting an earring inside after a month and it didn't work....

Thank you for posting your picture. A reconstruction adjusting all layers, cartiladge, skin will significantly improve the current appearance. This can be easily done as an in office procedure under local anesthesia.

I would recommend removing the ear piercing hole and closing the scar up with layered closure. Once closed, repierce in a few months. Best, Dr. KaramanoukianLos Angeles

Thank you for your question.  We typically do this procedure in our office under local anesthesia.  We try and not cut through the entire earlobe, unless we have to.  We usually close the incision in layers to take the tension off of the incision.  This usually leads to a nicer incision line. ...
