Fat transfer under eyebrow area, when will the swelling go away?

Hi there, I had fat transfer under the area of my eyebrow (beneath brow bone area?) how long does it take the swelling to subside? Is it true that swelling from fat trnsfer near eye nd cheek areas stay longer than other areas??

Generally, swelling after fat injected should last up to 2 weeks but there are always exceptions. There are many factors involved.

I suggest seeing your physician.  Swelling after treatment takes 3-6 weeks to resolve but if there is an abnormal look, then it may just be the fat that needs to be revised.  I suggest seeing your physician if you are concerned.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Swelling after fat grafting is very common. Each body reacts differently but a majority of the swelling improves after 2-4 weeks.  However, I advise my patients that the final result can take up to 3 months.  Fat grafting to the face in general has a high success rate due to the great blood supply of the face.  Good luck on the rest of your recovery.

Fat grafting below the eyebrow will result in raising of the eyebrow and correction of brow ptosis; swelling will last for upto 1 week in the worst scenario. Please see examples below.
