I am curious about breast lifts but do not like the anchor scar under the breast. The skin under my breast is still pretty and I like it very much, my main concern is the skin above the nipple that has been stretched from breast feeding. Is there a surgical technique that allows you to lift the breast without putting anchor scars under the breast to tighten the skin?

Answer: Breast Lift Techniques Hello, Without an examination or photos, I can only speak in generalities. Some skin from above and the sides of the nipple areolar complex is removed in order to move it into a more optimized position. The remaining skin is moved downward and inward as your internal breast tissue and nipple areolar complex moves up, necessitating the removal of skin below the mound. To fashion a breast lift that only removes skin from above would result in an obvious scar in a highly visible location. Go visit a few ABPS certified/ASAPS member surgeon who specialize in breast surgery. Best of luck!

Answer: Breast Lift It all depends on the degree of lifting that needs to be performed. The more lifting that is needed, that longer the scar. I recommend an in-office examination as well as a detailed discussion with a surgeon who you are comfortable with. Finally, make sure your surgeon is a Double-Board Certified Plastic Surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS) and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS).Best,Dr. DesaiBeverly Hills Institute for Aesthetic Plastic SurgeryHarvard Educated, Beverly Hills & Miami Beach Trained, Double-Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
