Anesthesia and the “stress” of surgery can affect your
hormones and probably your menstrual cycle. I think if will settle back to
normal very quickly.

Dear Leigh, Anesthesia medications and "stress" of surgery may affect your balance of hormones which can then affect your menstrual cycle. This should settle in a few days and you should return to your normal cycle. If you have continued bleeding please address this with your surgeon or gynecologist for follow up.
