Can Subperiosteal Midface lift be reversed or will shape of my face go back to what it was before surgery? 15 months postop now.

Unfortunately, subperiosteal midface lift surgery cannot be reversed, or many types of plastic surgery for that matter. Plastic surgeons can try to improve the condition, but can't reverse it as if the original procedure wasn't performed. I am sorry to hear about your result. I recommend that you get a thorough physical examination for answers.   Your underlying anatomy will likely allow for relief from your present appearance.  Make sure to schedule a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in regards to your concerns. I am sorry you are feeling the way you do.  Facial surgery should be a positive experience.  I am also sorry you feel that you were lied to.  Your consultation should be completely transparent and ALL of your questions should have been answered and potential outcomes and alternatives discussed in detail.  Your first stop should be with your original surgeon.  If you are not satisfied with what they have to say then I would suggest a consultation with another surgeon to address the issues that you are concerned with. 

I'm sorry for your experience. At 15 months post op, you should be at or close to your final result. I would recommend discussing your dissatisfaction with your surgeon to see if anything can be done.  Otherwise, seeking a second opinion with an experienced surgeon may be beneficial. Best of Luck

Since you had a subpereostal face the swelling form this can take  long time to resolve but since you are already 15 months post op I don't know since I do not do subperiostial facelifts.Speak with your doctor or get a second opinion.

Without photographs it's very difficult to give any advice. In a sense surgery can't be reversed.  However, procedures can be revised to help or improve on  previous surgeries.  Consult with an experience facial plastic surgeon and it does not hurt to get more than one opinion. 

At 15 months, you should be at your final result. I wish you had placed a photo so we could better advise.  If you are unhappy, you should get a second opinion from a board certified facial surgeon well known for secondary corrections.

It does take a long time for swelling to go away after any surgery, particularly facelift, but at 15 months I would expect it to be close to its final destination. If you are unhappy, you should seek advise and a second opinion because there may be something that can be done to reverse any issues that you may be having. Make sure you find a board certified plastic surgeon who has a lot of experience in secondary facelift 

First off, the most serious problem here is the apparent lack of understanding and communication between you and your surgeon. You absolutely should have known and understood exactly what was to go on in surgery before it was done. It is the surgeons obligation to make sure that you are fully aware of what will take place in surgery and not to change without first getting permission beforehand. Short of an unexpected emergency in the operating room there is no reason to do something that was not discussed and understood pre-operatively. With regards to your actual result I can only speculate without actual photos. Let me say that I do not do subperiosteal facelift work by choice, because I do not like the tendency for the procedure to look unnatural and a bit strange especially around the corners of the mouth. I do a traditional skin/SMAS facelift with oral sedation and local anesthesia and concentrate on getting a natural but much younger look. The procedure is safer, better and easier to recover from. Unfortunately, I doubt whether you can have much reversed at this point
