Nipple/areola complex and breasts shape asymmetry. (photo)

Question

10 days ago I had a breast lift. Last friday I had my dressing replaced with seri strips. At first I was very happy with the results but it seems like there is no perfect symmetry of the nipple/areola complex on the two breasts. The areolas are not round shaped but they have a more horizontally elongated shape. Will this change over time or will i need further surgery to make adjustments? I have also noticed the two breasts are not symmetrical themselves. Will this asymmetry remain? Thanks

Before pictures would be nice, but your result looks very nice and symmetric. Your areolas will likely change shape as your breasts settle and mature.

10 days postoperatively, there are many changes that will continue to occur from your current state. There is still swelling and one cannot judge the final outcome at this point. One often has to wait 6 to 12 months. If in the future one has significant asymmetry, this can often be improved with a revision to improve symmetry. It is impossible to have perfect symmetry in most cases.

Thanks for your question.  Honestly, it is too early in the healing process to gauge your final result.  Be patient and stay in communication with your PS.  If you're truly unhappy in several months, perhaps you could discuss revision then.  However, in my opinion, your result thus far looks rather nice!Best of luck!

Your outcome looks very nice.  It is much too early to judge the outcome.  Furthermore, there will not be perfect symmetry, it is just not possible.

First, breasts are asymmetric and often do not have perfectly round areola. Second it is too early to see the final result and the shape may change with some time.

It is too early to judge your symmetry . So far it appears that you have a good result. give it 6 to 8 weeks and follow up with your surgeon. it is important to view your pre op photos at that time also.
