Liposuction for back, belly, and flanks. How many incisions should I expect?

Thank you for your question. Each surgeon will have their own protocol when making incisions for particular procedures. Typically to do abdomen, flank, bra roll/ back area I would have a minimum of about 6-8 incisions. For liposuction incisions I take into account the natural ways that your skin lays and try to hide areas of liposuction sites. Every surgeon is different, for the upper abdomen, I do the incision hidden in the belly button.

The number of liposuction incisions will vary by surgeon preference. It would be unusual to have only two incisions in the pubic area if the back was treated. I would guess at least 6 would be needed to address all of the areas you mentioned.

hello honey that depends on the doctor who does the procedure, in our case there are about 6 incisions, two pubic two in the back and two in the breast area.

Surgeons differ greatly on the number of incisions made or where they are made for doing Liposuction.
Consider Liposuction Cannula‘s are straight instruments and you can probably deduct yourself how far someone could reach from where you incisions are.
In the end your surgeon is responsible for the outcome of the procedure and you are responsible for choosing that surgeon.
I suggest either asking your surgeon to consider revising their areas if they were untreated or insufficiently treated.
Liposuction results very dramatically based on who’s doing the procedure. It is one of their least consistent operations performed including the fact that many providers doing liposuction are not trained in plastic surgery.
To get a proper second opinion consultation I suggest scheduling those as in person consultations with other local board-certified plastic surgeons.
When treating the entire torso I typically make eight incisions. A full torso includes upper abdomen, lower abdomen, love handles, waist, full back and under arms.
