Hello,After 19 days, swelling is not unusual. I would wait for about 6 months until everything has hopefully settled and when you can see the final results. It depends what eye drops you are using. It would be best to discuss this with your doctor.
Considering you aren't even three weeks out from surgery, I think your lids look pretty good. You still have some mild swelling, but that should resolve in another few weeks. Discuss with your surgeon if you are concerned.Andrew Campbell, M.D.Facial Rejuvenation SpecialistQuintessa Aesthetic Centers
Swelling after eyelid surgery can vary by patient. Your appearance at 19 days appears within the norm. I would recommend visiting with your surgeon if it lasts over 3 months.
Eyedrops can be used as needed. Frequently changed iced eyepads, a recumbant position, and arnica help with the puffiness in my experience.
Thank you for your question and sharing your photos. Swelling after surgery is variable, and healing can take up to three months or more. Be patient and follow up with your doctors post-operative instructions. I often have my patients continue using warm compresses to the lids daily until the swelling has resolved. Best wishes.
This early in the healing process you will certainly have swelling and scar tissue that masks your result and cause asymmetry. This is a part of recovery and is to be expected at this point after a blepharoplasty, icing and staying away from salt can help. Be patient with your recovery and give your body time to heal. Be sure to keep any follow ups you may have with your surgeon for his or her advise and evaluation. Best wishes. Thank you for your question. I would wait until you have healed well from surgery before applying lash extensions. That would depend on how your are healing post-operatively, which would depend on your surgeons examination and recommendations. In general, I would wait about a month. Be...
