I just had a belly tuck 3 days ago and I was wondering what I'm allowed to eat and what I am not allowed to eat.
Answer: Avoid constipation! Since you just had a full abdominoplasty 3 days ago and you are probably still taking pain medication it is important to maintain a healthy diet to eliminate constipation. Please avoid foods that might cause bloating, gas, pain. Eating soft, easy-to-digest foods that are low in fiber and high in nutrients will promote better recovery time from your surgery. Soft, easily chewable, low-fiber foods are tolerated better like yogurt, cottage cheese, cooked cereals, eggs, mashed potatoes, noodles, rice. Include in your diet protein foods like tender chicken, fish, cooked or canned vegetables and fruit, applesauce, bananas are also a grat choice. The key in your diet is a proper hydration. Drink a minimum of 64 ounces fluid per day to decrease dehydration risk. Carbonated beverages may cause gas and intestinal bloating so avoid them.

Answer: Best to ask questions like this of your surgeon and no one else Hi there-Please understand that nothing good can come of you asking for (or worse, receiving) advice on what to do or not do after your surgery from doctors who have never met you, did not participate in your operation, have no understanding of your course to date, and are sitting at a computer many miles from you... Your surgeon would be sad to learn that you were asking these questions online rather than calling their office... Talk to your surgeon's office- they'll advise you best
