Is Bellafill a good alternative to Juvederm? Do I need to wait until the Juvederm is fully absorbed? (Photo)

Please now that Bellafill addresses the nasolabial folds to create more volume in the face while smoothing away facial wrinkles. permanent filler that is expected to last for long-term (at least about 5
years). Bellafill can be injected anywhere in the face except for under the
eyes and lips as it can cause long-term side effects and issues such as lumpiness.
If you are interested to try something more long-lasting in the lips, you can
try Juvederm Voluma which lasts for a longer time (two years or so). I hope it

Thank you for sharing your question and photograph.  As a semi-permanent filler, with results lasting up to 5 years, Bellafill is not a good option in the lips.  I would continue with JVD or JVD Ultra Plus as it is safe, pliable, reversible, and affords long-lasting results.  I am not sure about your scar tissue/poor circulation and would ask your doctor to elaborate.  Hope this helps.

I routinely use Bellafill, but never in the lips.  I believe Bellafill would not be a good choice for the lips as it is not as soft or supple as hyaluronic acid fillers like Juvederm.  I would perhaps get a second opinion.

Bellafill can be a good, longer lasting alternative to Juvederm, but I would not recommend using Bellafill in the lips.  I find hyaluronic acid fillers, such as Juvederm and Restylane, give better results in the lips.  Bellafill works well in the cheek and some other facial areas, but I would not recommend it for the lip and eye areas.  

Fillers like juvederm can be reversed and bellafill cannot, I suggest you speak to your physician.  Long term bellafill is great as its more permanent but requires multiple treatments to ensure no overfilling.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Bellafill is not recommended for lips. It will likely lead to nodules which will be difficult to treat. Even along the borders is not a good idea. Any area with concentric muscles - eyes, mouth - can lead to nodularity. Most of the complications of Bellafill are from injecting in these areas.

Bellafill is an excellent filler that can be used almost anywhere.  The literature for Bellafill specifically says it is not for use in the lips and this scares away many physicians and patients.  I have used it in the lips for about 10 years and have found it to be better than the the hyaluronic acids like Juvederm and Restylane.  Bellafill actually stimulates you to make your own collagen and at 6 months the filler is mostly your own tissue that is creating the volume and not the collagen that was initially injected.  It is soft, natural and in fact can usually not even be felt.To be safe, it should be injected with a cannula.  Cannulas help avoid catastrophic injection into the vessels and generally produce a better result that has less bruising and swelling than needle injections.I have added a video and a web reference for more information for you.I hope that helps.Best regards.
