Is Bellafill a good alternative to Juvederm? Do I need to wait until the Juvederm is fully absorbed? (Photo)

My first experience with any kind of filler was juvederm in my lips about 5 months ago. I loved the results, and went in for a touch up last week, but the doctor told me I had an unusual amount of scar tissue and/or poor circulation to the border of my lips, and would not inject me again. They recommended I try Bellafill to avoid further issues with injections in my lips. I'd like some other opinions on this from those who have experience with bellafill.

Thank you for your question. It is wise to pursue a second opinion because knowledge can never hurt. Please move forward and consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon in person to address your lips. Please now that Bellafill addresses the nasolabial folds to create more volume in the face while smoothing away facial wrinkles. Additionally, Bellafill is the only available dermal filler deemed effective and safe for the treatment of acne scars.Best wishes,

and thank you for sharing your question here! Bellafill is a type of semi
permanent filler that is expected to last for long-term (at least about 5
years). Bellafill can be injected anywhere in the face except for under the
eyes and lips as it can cause long-term side effects and issues such as lumpiness.
If you are interested to try something more long-lasting in the lips, you can
try Juvederm Voluma which lasts for a longer time (two years or so). I hope it

Thank you for sharing your question and photograph.  As a semi-permanent filler, with results lasting up to 5 years, Bellafill is not a good option in the lips.  I would continue with JVD or JVD Ultra Plus as it is safe, pliable, reversible, and affords long-lasting results.  I am not sure about your scar tissue/poor circulation and would ask your doctor to elaborate.  Hope this helps.

I routinely use Bellafill, but never in the lips.  I believe Bellafill would not be a good choice for the lips as it is not as soft or supple as hyaluronic acid fillers like Juvederm.  I would perhaps get a second opinion.

Bellafill can be a good, longer lasting alternative to Juvederm, but I would not recommend using Bellafill in the lips.  I find hyaluronic acid fillers, such as Juvederm and Restylane, give better results in the lips.  Bellafill works well in the cheek and some other facial areas, but I would not recommend it for the lip and eye areas.
