How soon after rhinoplasty can I have a microderm done?

Question

I am about 8 weeks post rhino/septo and am in DESPERATE need of microdermabrasion for my face. My skin has been completely dry and awful since the surgery. (A small price to pay for a new nose. But still, I've had all I can take). The person doing it knows I have had surgery and would of course be careful of my nose, but I don't want her to have to avoid it as the skin on my nose is what needs it most. Would this potentially affect my rhinoplasty results?

Microdermabrasion should be ok 8 weeks after rhinoplasty. However, I would check with your surgeon because only he/she knows the fragility of your nose after the maneuvers that were done during surgery.

8 weeks is quite ok for a microderm as long as the Aesthetician avoids the top and lateral aspects of the nose. It takes around 45 days for bone work to heal.
