How soon after rhinoplasty can I have a microderm done?

I am about 8 weeks post rhino/septo and am in DESPERATE need of microdermabrasion for my face. My skin has been completely dry and awful since the surgery. (A small price to pay for a new nose. But still, I've had all I can take). The person doing it knows I have had surgery and would of course be careful of my nose, but I don't want her to have to avoid it as the skin on my nose is what needs it most. Would this potentially affect my rhinoplasty results?

From your photos, I don't see anything that looks out of the ordinary for being 4 days post-op, but the photos don't allow for close detailed evaluation either.

Hair dye does not interfere with a rhinoplasty healing.  It can interfere however if an incisions were made in the hairline (i.e. temporal fasica harvest or cartilage banking in the scalp).  In general if an incision was made in the scalp, wait for at least 6 weeks and ask your surgeon...

Thanks for your question. It is normal to experience swelling around the eyes and nose after a rhinoplasty... Overtime the swelling should go down but it could take around a year before the final result is apparent.All the best,Dr. ResultsMiami, FL

It is hard to guess correctly what kind of lesion your are talking about without photos? Is this on the skin or underneath the skin? Deformity of your nose cartilage or bone? It would be good to an image of "hump".You should see a plastic surgeon in your area to discuss this issue....

Better quality pics and side views are necessary.Sunken nasal bones are treated with onlay grafts taken from the auricular concha or even ribs.
