Hi, I’m 5’3, 160 lbs and an 18 year old who really wants to go shopping in the teen section like everyone else but unfortunately I can’t because I have 34 DDD breasts. I would like to know how many cup sizes I would be able to get them reduced to. And if so would they still be able to stay perky at that size with no implants as I age because I do not want implants.

The limitations to breast reduction amount is leaving enough tissue behind to supply blood flow to the nipple and skin flaps. That does not mean that significant size reduction is not possible, because it certainly is with a judicious but ambitious reduction plan, as you mention. Most patients, in my experience, meeting the description you provide, commonly are able to wear size C bra postoperatively as a reasonable expectation. There would be no need for implants, especially at your age and native breast size, as your own tissue is likely to lend itself to your best breast shape, contour, and consistency, in my view.

At size 34, each 100 grams removed corresponds to 1 cup size change. The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reduce and reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. The weight of the breast is transferred to the underlying pectoralis major muscle resulting in pain relief without excessive reduction. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained.

breast reduction is best suited for women who wish to decrease the size of their breasts. While there are different techniques used to perform this surgery, I prefer the vertical incision (lollipop pattern) breast reduction technique instead of the anchor scar pattern, which reduces more noticeable scarring than usual. I also use a SAFE liposuction technique to reduce additional fat around the stubborn axilla area and bra line. This way, my patients are achieving beautiful results with minimal incisions which reduces downtime and delivers an overall better breast shape long term.If you are considering breast reduction surgery, you should consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options and make sure your surgeon understands your goals. Good question. In short it is difficult to guarantee bra size after breast reduction especially since different bras may have different sizes. Some believe that 1 cup size is approximately 150g of breast tissue - very rough estimate. Ability to safely reduce breast size and weight depends on the physical characteristics of your breasts (overall shape, density, distance of nipple from clavicle/sternal notch, etc). The perkiness of the breast is also determined by your breast shape/size, the technique your surgeon uses, and the quality/elasticity of your breast skin and breast gland itself. These questions are best answered after being seen and examined in-person by a plastic surgeon.

From your description it sounds as though you'd be a candidate for breast reduction.  The amount removed is best decided after a discussion with the patient and an examination.  As you age your breasts will continue to age with you.  The size and appearance can also be influenced by weight loss or gain as well as future pregnancy and breastfeeding.

it would have been helpful if you had attached photos. Basically you should be able to reduce your breast size quite significantly and still have an excellent shape. Ideally, you breast size should be in some harmony with your body size. It you lost weight (you are moderately overweight based on your ht and wt) would allow for some small breast size that would be in harmony with the rest of your body.

ps since you are only 18, you want to make sure that your breasts are still not growing (I suspect they have stopped) and if they are still growing, you want to make sure they are staying the same size for at least 6 months.
