How long after BOTOX should I regain some movement? 2 weeks post op.

I'm sorry you are not satisfied with your Botox treatment. You may want to mention to your provider what your expectations are and that you do not wish to be frozen, but still have some movement in your frontalis so that they may lower your dosage for next time. Typically it takes about 3-4 months for Botox to wear off, but you may get some relief in the next 3-4 weeks. Best of luck!

Botox typically lasts 3-4 months.  However, the product wears off gradually, so you will resume muscle activity slowly over that time.  You want to speak to your injector about how you're feeling so further treatments can be adjusted.

Usually the effects of Botox on the forehead last 3-4 months, so you will need to wait that period of time before you regain your muscle movement.  If the effect of a "frozen forehead" is not what you desire, consider asking your provider to inject a lower dose or fewer areas next time to preserve some muscle/frontalis function.  As always, seek proper consultation before treatment and best of luck!

Thank you for your question. Botox typically lasts 3 to 4 months. However if the dosing was very strong it may be longer and if the dosing was weak it may be shorter. In general heavy brows tend to resolve quickly. I would also suggest you discuss with your provider as increasing the dose to your 11s and Crows Feet may improve the heavy brow feeling. Thank you for your question, Kerry. The sensation of forehead heaviness is common and usually improves as you become acclimated. If you do not like your forehead to be completely "frozen", definitely mention that to your injector next time that you would like to try less Botox. Typically Botox lasts 3-4 months, but you may gradually regain some slight movement before then.

Botox does wear off gradually not all of a sudden so you should begin to have more movement at least in another couple of weeks

It sounds as if they put too much Botox too low and how your brows appear heavy.  It can take up to four months for the full effect to go away. However, as the Botox wears off you will be able to lift your brow and it should not be as severe. Please consult an expert in Botox for the best cosmetic results.  Best, Dr. Green
