Hello, and thank you for reaching out to us.A Brazilian butt lift performed by a board-certified plastic surgery will last you a lifetime. There is a fat retention rate, which is the fat the survives the transfer. This differs among surgeons, but a good range is between 60-80% survival rate.Good luck with everything, please let us know how it goes.Regards,Dr. Constantino Mendieta
Dear Beb, Your question is a critical question . You will get different answer from different doctores in regad to fat survival. I have been doing butt implants surgery for over 11 years and operated on hundreds of patients. I can tell you from my own observation that many patients came to my surgery center for butt implants surgery after having disappointing results from fat injection to the butt by other surgeons. What the patients are telling me is that the fat disappear completely or almost completely after 6 - 12 months. Indeed, when I operated on them I did not see any significant amount of fat left over. It is physiologically illogical to expect that a large amount of injected fat will survive without good blood supply. Think about it using you common sense, if fat injection was consistent and reliable, breast implants would have disappeared from the market , yet breast implants surgery is stronger than ever. The disappointment for the patients is both financially and emotionally for not achieving their goal. The decision is yours. Best of luck, Dr Widder
Fat grafting to the products can lead to permanent changing your contour. This can be greatly influence in a negative way by the patient. The patient gains excess weight or loses excess weight the shape will change.Earl Stephenson Jr MD DDS FACS
I continue to see my patients in magazines and ads, etc., so I know that the changes endure.Find a board certified plastic surgeon who performs hundreds of Brazilian buttlifts andliposuction procedures each year. Look for great reviews and great before and after pictures.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA
Long term results are usually evident after 2-3 months as the swelling subsides. Usually 30% will be lost over time.
Thank you for your question . When having a Brazilian Butt lit, you are transferring your own fat. 60-80 % of your results after your 6 months procedure wis what you will always have left. Choose a board certified plastic surgeon who has done a ton of Brazilian Butt Lifts and has privileges to do this surgery at a local university hospital. This says his credentials have been checked out by fellow Drs. All surgeries carry risk, talk to your plastic surgeon and choose one wisely.
The brazillian butt lift, fat grafting, if performed correctly should last for ever; however, it will incorporate into your body, so if one were to begin running marathons, it may not, just as one loses fat when doing those types of exercises. In my hands i have generally 70% take, sometimes more. Experience the main factor in this type of procedure so make sure that your board certified plastic surgeon has the experience in fat grafting.Good luck.
Fat injection into the pocket is usually a very successful procedure but some fat will resorb. I usually get about 70% or more take from what I injected.
Dear bebccr,Not all of the fat that is grafted will survive but the fat that does will be there permanently. I have seen my patients as far as 5 years after their BBL and they have retained all or most of the fat that had survived. All the best,Dr. Remus Repta
Thank you for your question. Brazilian Butt Lifts are a permanent solution to buttock flatness. Fat is liposuctioned from undesirable locations and transferred to the buttocks for shaping, lifting and augmenting the buttocks. Approximately 60% of the transferred fat survives and is permanent. The results are long lasting but normal aging continues. Best wishes!

Usual skin blemishes (pimples, blackheads etc.) are not an issue when performing surgery, but from the picture it looks as if it's a bit more than the usual and I suggest that you wait until it has cleared just in case there is a chance for infection to occur.Thank you for question!
There is fluid that tends to build up in the body - as we have just created space with the removed fat cells. So to improve the recovery period and to remove the excess fluid I keep drains in for 5-7 days. My inclination to remove the drains is once they reap less than 30CCs. This is a...
