BBL or rhinoplasty first? I'm leaning more towards BBL first.

Facial procedures are a bit conflictive with BBL surgery, since they require a supine (head up) position afterwards, whereas for optimal BBL results you should ideally try to sleep face down and not sit for about 2 weeks after surgery.I would do BBL first, for the following reason: if you want to add a bit more volume on the hips, where volume maintainence is usually hardest, you could still add more selected volume to the hips when you do the rhinoplasty. Since this secondary addition is on the sides, the supine position is not as damaging.So from a tactical point of view, that would be the best way to proceed.

If you plan to space out the procedures 6 months or more apart, the order isn't too important; just pick the one you'd rather get done first. If you plan to have the procedures done closer together, probably better to do the BBL first so you are not laying on your nose postoperatively.Hope this helps - Sam Jejurikar, MD
