I have altogether 9 piercings Two nostril One septum Tongue Labret Both nipples Belly button And VCH (vertical clitoral hood) Is it required to remove them all for surgery ? Is there an option of putting in plastic retainers to avoid the metal? All of my piercings are completely titanium, if that changes anything.

Answer: For the BBL procedure is it required to remove all body jewelry? Thank you for your questions. To avoid any potential complications, it is always best to remove any body jewelry. I usually advise patients that if they are concerned or it is a newer piercing, use a plastic spacer to preserve the path and replace as needed after surgery. Best to discuss with your surgeon his or her preference.Hope this helps!Dallas R. Buchanan, MD, FACSOwner & Board-Certified Plastic SurgeonVIVIFY plastic surgery
