Do I have to take a dermal piercing out before I have my BBL?

Typically if the dermal piercing is in the area of liposuction, it should be removed for safety reasons. Because it is on your face, your plastic surgeon may allow it to remain.

every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. There is a chance that you won't have to remove piercings. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.

Certain surgery centers or operating rooms have certain policies about wearing jewelry or piercings. If they can easily be removed they will probably ask you to do so. If they cannot be removed they will probably let you keep them.

If you have a surgeon chosen then you should ask him or her.

If you do not then you should have a few consultations at which time you can ask your question.
