10 years ago I had surgery twice. 1st for breast implants and lipo, 2nd to smooth lipo lumps & remove painful implants. After even lumpier results and angrier looking scars, the dr said I don't scar well, I have too much skin, and recommended a mini tummy tuck. I decided against further surgery after losing all hope for a good outcome. I'm afraid I won't have the time or money, but I have to ask the questions I've been too embarrassed to ask. Can this be fixed & what might it cost? Thank you.
Answer: Unevenness after liposuction Dear myopeneon,While there is always a chance for contour irregularities with liposuction, someone who takes their time and uses the appropriate sized cannulas should give you a superb result. I have all my patients wear compression garments and I use multiple sized cannulas to feather out the result. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Answer: Can these scars and poor results from liposuction fixable? 10 years post op. Thank you for your question and photos. Unfortunately, you had a debulking liposuction done without respecting your underlying muscle anatomy. You still have a square shape on top of the liposuction irregularities, and that is why it is not advisable to do only one anatomic area without blending or sculpting the adjacent areas.The good news is that you can have a great improvement with VASER Hi Def Lipo. The VASER is instrumental in releasing all the scarred areas from your two liposuction procedures. You would do best with 360 degree liposuction of your torso to give you an hourglass figure and get rid of the unnatural horizontal creases and lumpiness of your abdominal wall. This needs to be defined based on your underlying muscle anatomy. The correction of these deformities goes beyond choice of cannula size, it takes an experienced plastic surgeon with experience in advanced body sculpting techniques and corrective surgery. This is NOT a touch up! In my practice about 20% of my patients had previous liposuction with less than optimal outcomes. The breast scars can be revised at the same time. Good luck.
