Can these scars and poor results from liposuction fixable? 10 years post op. (photos)

Dear myopeneon,While there is always a chance for contour irregularities with liposuction, someone who takes their time and uses the appropriate sized cannulas should give you a superb result. I have all my patients wear compression garments and I use multiple sized cannulas to feather out the result. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Thank you for your question and photos. Unfortunately, you had a debulking liposuction done without respecting your underlying muscle anatomy. You still have a square shape on top of the liposuction irregularities, and that is why it is not advisable to do only one anatomic area without blending or sculpting the adjacent areas.The good news is that you can have a great improvement with VASER Hi Def Lipo. The VASER is instrumental in releasing all the scarred areas from your two liposuction procedures. You would do best with 360 degree liposuction of your torso to give you an hourglass figure and get rid of the unnatural horizontal creases and lumpiness of your abdominal wall. This needs to be defined based on your underlying muscle anatomy. The correction of these deformities goes beyond choice of cannula size, it takes an experienced plastic surgeon with experience in advanced body sculpting techniques and corrective surgery. This is NOT a touch up! In my practice about 20% of my patients had previous liposuction with less than optimal outcomes. The breast scars can be revised at the same time. Good luck.

Scarring can be improved with a combination approach of lasers, microneedling/prp, subcision and fillers. For best results with smoothing irregularities, I recommend a hi definition procedure like a VASER liposuction revision which can be performed at the same time as a tummy tuck, depending on skin laxity. I think that a thorough exam in person is essential. You  might benefit from a tummy tuck if the skin is loose and you also want to tighten the muscles.

Evaluating your photos, not knowing much of your history and without the benefit of a physical examination, it may be possible to improve the appearance of your breast scars. This may involve excision and re-closure with aggressive postoperative treatment. For best results, I recommend VASER liposuction. Traditional liposuction is very limited and only removes partial amounts of fat. VASER improves irregularities and removes fat. Consult with a VASER specialist to address all your questions and concerns.
