Looking at the photos there are some areas that have been over-treated and others that have been under-treated. This leaves a peak and valley appearance to the abdomen which can generally be improved with a combination of SAFE lipo of the thicker areas and fat grafting of the over treated areas. Depending on the feel of the thin areas, fat grafting may or may not be necessary/ possible. You have not indicated if there was any “energy” in the liposuction such as laser liposuction. If not, great. If so, there will be quite a bit more scar in the valleys and it may be difficult if not impossible to achieve a perfectly smooth result. Approximately 75% of the liposuction irregularities such as this that I have seen are associated with laser liposuction and quite difficult and unpredictable to treat. The unpredictability comes from the excessive scar resulting from a burn to the deep tissue.
Dear Lucinda1234,I would have to examine you but it appears that this is a contour irregularity after liposuction. This happens often when areas the undergo liposuction are not feathered appropriately. The good news is that it can be fixed and I have done so with good results before. The revision can often be done under local as well.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery
For best results, I recommend a hi definition procedure like a VASER liposuction revision. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will improve irregularities and give you a toned result. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a hi definition physique expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for your photos. Liposuction contour irregularities can sometimes be corrected with additional liposuction. In areas where too much fat has been removed and the skin is scarred down to the abdominal wall, you may need to actually add fat grafting to release and lift up the skin. Fixing areas where too much fat was removed is much harder than fixing areas where fat was left behind. It is likely that some areas can be improved with revision liposuction but it may not be possible to completely restore a smooth contour to your abdomen. Hope this helps!Johnson C. Poorly performed liposuction can be difficult and at times not possible to correct.Revision liposuction it which is what you are referring to can sometimes make some improvements but becomes increasingly more difficult if the person was overtreated initially.Revision liposuction can also make things worse.Generally the three options are revision liposuction, fat grafting(tends to not work well in over liposuctioned patients) or a skin removal procedure such as an abdominoplasty.Best,Mats Hagstrom M.D.
I suggest a liposuction revision with high definition VASER. Traditional liposuction is very limited and only removes partial amounts of fat. VASER improves irregularities and removes fat. Consult with a VASER specialist to address all your questions and concerns.
Everyone is a bit different. Some people have fat that easily comes out, and some do not. But the back often does not have as much fat as one thinks. Many times it is loose skin.
I would begin with our Hidef liposuction protocol that includes fibrous release, fat grafting, lipocavitation, liposculpture, PRP SC, liposonix, and RF multiplane tissue tightening. Secondarily, I would employ the Brazilian cellulite technique to eliminate scar tethering. Best, Dr. Ka...
