I am planning on getting an FUE of 2500-3000 grafts this winter. I recently learned that there may be more benefits to an FUT instead of an FUE. I also learned FUE can be performed without shaving the scalp. What are the benefits and risks of pursuing the FUE, and should I be highly considering an FUT instead?

Answer: FUE Procedure The advantage of FUE is that it eliminates the linear donor scar, which allows you to clip your hair shorter in the donor area. The downside to FUE is we need to clip your donor hair (not shaven) in order to perform the extractions. Based on your photos, I believe the estimate is on point for 2000-3000 FUE grafts to fill in the frontal forelock and hairline.

Answer: Should I get FUT vs FUE for 24 year old? (2 years Finasteride, 1 year minoxidil, no more hair loss) At the beginning I propose to start with the least invasive procedures, so FUE. If in the future it is no longer possible to perform FUE then the last solution (chance) is FUT - with a linear scar on donor area. You are too young for scars.
