I don't know of any negative impact vinegar pills would have on the surgery, but really any questions like this you should be directing to the surgeon who is going to perform your surgery.Best of luck!Dr. SubbioBoard-Certified Plastic SurgeonNewtown Square/Philadelphia, PA
Thank you for your question. Your surgeon may not ask you to stop taking apple cider vinegar pills before surgery. However, it’s best to disclose everything (prescription, herbal and over-the-counter) you are taking to your surgeon and follow his or her recommendations. Check with your plastic surgeon to see what he or she suggests.
Some over the counter supplements, vitamins can increase the risk of bleeding. Every surgeon has a protocol, you should check with your surgeon. In my office, we recommend to not take any supplements, vitamins four weeks before the procedure.
Dear kiingpinwifey2012,apple cider vinegar shouldn't cause any issues. However, you might want to check it with your plastic surgeon as some of the ingredients of the pill might be dangerous. Thanks for your inquiry, it is important to review supplements with your surgeon. the problem with diet aids is that may have other ingredients, stimulants which may affect surgery. So ask your surgeon and good luck with surgery.
Other than potentially being damaging to tooth enamel and irritating to the stomach, I don't know of any surgical reasons to avoid ACV around surgery. Personally, I would avoid it after surgery as it can upset the stomach and there is enough potential for that with the anesthesia used in surgery and the narcotics used postoperatively. Best of luck to you.
Thank you for sharing your question. I would run the full ingredients of the diet pill by your surgeon for the best advice. For my patients I ask them to be weight stable for several weeks prior to surgery and to avoid dieting as this is causing breakdown of their bodily tissues which may impair their ability to heal after surgery. Hope this helps.
Thank you for reaching out! I would be sure to check with your surgeon, he/she will have their own pre op instructions, it is best to let them know what you are taking and they can give you instructions on how soon to stop taking everything. Congrats on your upcoming surgery. Best of luck! Dr. Kim
The Apple cider shouldn't pose any problems. Just be sure to tell your surgeon all of the medications you are taking including any supplements. Sounds like you are going to be well-prepared! Best of luck.
Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well.I personally recommend to stop it at least 2 month before surgery.Good luck :)
Placement of the incision with a tummy tuck is one of the first and most difficult decisions to make for a surgeon. Placing the incision lower and closer down to the pubic hairline is cosmetically better, but has some disadvantages. The lower the incision the more difficult it is to bring the...
Hello and thank you for your excellent question. In general, I use a permanent suture on the abdominal wall because we don't want the muscles to pull apart again after the surgery. Of course, you will need an in-person consultation to evaluate you for this procedure. Preoperative visualization a...
You've gotten through the hard part- the surgery. Now its time to listen to your surgeon's advice. Have a good discussion with him about heavy lifting and physical activity after your tummy tuck. There are two major reasons plastic surgeons advise against heavy lifting for 6...
