Do rubbing eyes cause deep sunken eyes? (photo)

Hello,     Thank you for your question.  I would like to reassure you that playing video games for extended periods of time, rubbing your eyes harshly due to itching or crying for some people, does not cause the eyes to become sunken.   Skin allergies and allergies that affect the eyes can cause redness and swelling which is usually temporary until the allergy is treated and subsides.  Genetics and the aging process are responsible for the appearance of our eye anatomy. The photo that you present does not show your eye clearly so giving you informed recommendations to possibly solve your condition is difficult to say.
