It may be too early to judge what your final results may look like.  2500+ FUE can certainly cause donor depletion if you had a low donor hair density to begin with.

Sometimes  there may be such a early phase weak and  low density appearance in donor areas after FUE surgery,  but fortunatelly most are transient. İt may happen because of over harvesting or transient post traumatic shedding /shock loss. Any way it heals and hair regrow in 4-5 months of hair restoration surgery .

If you are concerned about a possible infection, the area should be evaluated in person.  If seeing your surgeon is not an option you will need to approach a local physician.

The donor area seems to have been taken too high, well outside the permanent zone of hair Your original density mst also have been low as there appears to be considerable thinning of your donor area from the FUE procedure
