CoolSculpting vs laser lipo, which has longer lasting results?

Both are good for permanently removing stubborn areas of fat, but lack body shaping and contouring. For best results, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result. Thank you for your question.  Both CoolSculpting and Laser Liposuction remove fat cells permanently. In a CoolSculpting session, you can expect to lose about 20-22% of the fat in the treatment area. It is a non-surgical procedure and takes about an hour per area for treatment. Results are not fully realized until about 3-4 months following treatment.  It is best for very small, isolated areas of fat that do not respond to diet or exercise, and for those who do not want surgery. Laser Liposuction is able to remove much larger areas of fat more effectively and there is more body contouring involved.  It is, however, a surgical procedure and should be performed by a board certified plastic surgeon for optimal results.  It does have a recovery period which can also involve bruising and swelling in the treatment area.  I hope this helps.

It can take between 30-90 days to see CoolSculpting results. With liposuction, you will have downtime after surgery, however the fat reduction is immediate after the swelling and recovery.  I recommend you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to review your options and see what procedure would work best for you and your goals. There are several differences. They also have a similarity in that both permanently remove fat. Coolsculpting is non invasive.  With the new head pieces it only take as little as 35 minutes, has no significant down time in almost everyone, and is not uncomfortable to most patients with the new head pieces. No anesthesia is required. Lipo removes more fat, is invasive, has significant down time, and requires anesthesia. Coolsculpting removes an average of 20-25% of the fat pulled into the machine. More than one treatment may be necessary. Lipo removes significantly more fat in one session. Loose skin almost never occurs after Coolsculpting, it is not infrequent after Lipo.
