Both of these products can be used safely together. Tretinoin is usually used once a day in the evening.
Thank you for your question. Using both is extremely safe. You're also addressing two different aspects of the aging process so they actually work very well together to help with your aesthetic goals.
Thank you for your question. Yes, it is safe to have Botox while using tretinoin, as each medicine works in different ways for skin care and facial rejuvenation. You should be using tretinoin cream nightly, but it does somewhat depend on your reaction to the cream, as well as the environment in which you live, as it predisposes you to sun sensitivity. Hope this helps
Hello Annabel13,Using both Botox and Tretinoin is safe and helps with two different signs of aging. As far as how often you should use the tretinoin you should discuss this with your provider. The reason is that different skin types react diffierently. Some patients use it every day. Others have to space out treatment to avoid turning red and peeling. I hope this helps and good luck.
Yes it is completely safe to get Botox while using tretinoin. If you are concerned at all you can always stop your tretinoin a few days before the Botox treatment. Regarding how often to use tretinoin, I typically recommend 3 nights per week then increasing to nightly as tolerated. You can also use a moisturizer with it to reduce any dryness.
Dear annabel13:Skin wrinkles and lines are formed from 4 elements: epidermis, dermis, fat and muscle. Both Botox and Retin-A are a classic combination to anti-age the skin. Botox is a muscle relaxer to balance facial expression and reduce the traction on the overlying skin creating the wrinkle.Fillers are injected directly into the dermis to fill or project the wrinkle line itself.Retinoids including Retin-A are a wonderful anti-aging cream which stimulates exfolliation and renewal of cells and cell function of the epidermis and dermis. These and more options are available depending on the depth and breadth desired for rejuvenation.Go forth and conquer! I wish you well!
Botox and Tretinoin are very safe when used together. A retinoid , i.e tretinoin , is an important part of your skin care regimen. Apply a small amount to clean skin at night and follow with a moisturizer over it. Initially, start every other night. If you have sensive skin begin every third night. It is important to use a sunscreen every morning as your skin is slightly more photosensitive. You should be using a sunscreen anyway to prevent additional photodamage. A good topical regimen will enhance the effects of Botox.
Yes. Botox and tretinoin cream are safe to use together. Absolutely no interactions. Regular use of tretinoin, which is vitamin A, can help prevent fine lines and wrinkles- so it will actually reinforce the Botox! Be well.
It's safe for you to use tretinoin cream before and after getting Botox injections. Your Dermatologist may ask you not to use the tretinoin cream the night before your procedure. However, there isn't any known interaction between these medications, so you're in the clear. I would recommend using a sunscreen (SPF 30 or greater) during the day and applying the tretinoin cream at night.
Absolutely. Both work in different ways.Be sure you apply the Tretinoin at night as sunlight breaks it down and it doesn't work as it is supposed to.When you visit your doctor, be sure to write questions like this down so you can ask while you are in the office and not have to wait until one of us responds here on the site.
