Hello,I would also recommend seeing the same, experienced injector for all of your facial injections because they work together in harmony and the same practitioner will have a clear picture of your treatment history. All the best
Hmm. You can do fillers and Botox at the same time. So, there is no need to ask which one should be done first. They compliment each other. I am wondering why you would be getting fillers by one physician, and Botox by another. I understand having a face lift done by a facial plastic surgeon, and then a CO2 laser resurfacing done by a dermatologic surgeon - and asking which should be done first, but Botox and Fillers don't need to come in a certain order.
I am not sure what the logic is for this plan because most Doctors adept at using fillers are well versed in injecting Botox. I suspect that price may play a role in your decision making and I would caution you to be suspicious of cheap Botox. It really doesn't matter which is performed first in the majority of circumstances. One exception is for very deep lines in the glabella where I will typically fill the line prior to injecting Botox.
That is a very interesting question. Most people simply do both at the same encounter to save.If you have the luxury of doing them separately, start with botox, allow at least one week for effect and then do the filler. This is only relevant if you are injecting the product into the same anatomic area for example the glabella. If you are injecting botox into the forehead or glabella and filler to the lower face then it probably makes no difference. Enjoy the products.
I often combine both in the same visit. If, however, you want to see the effects of one before the other, you do the Botox first and schedule your fillers a couple weeks later. This would be if you are placing both products in the same region (e.g. frown lines)
If you are not having the Botox and fillers placed into the same areas of your face, I do not think it would make any difference as to which treatment to have first. If you were having fillers and Botox placed into the same area, then it may make more sense to have the Botox first to see how much improvement there is before adding the filler.
It is most likely that you will get your preferred result if you find one really great injector who you trust. They will get to know your face, and they will keep track of the products you have used, which worked best for you, etc. It can get tricky with patients who come in every few months, go to different practices, and don't know or remember what products they got, and how much of it.
It is clear that most physicians think that the two treatments would best be accomplished by a single experienced physician. Circumstances such as a patient receiving botox for a neurological problem might receive their botox from the neurologist and their filler from a dermatologist or plastic surgeon. In general if it is all cosmetic it is best to have them both done by someone who has a total vision and plan for your rejuvenation.
Interesting situation. It does work better if you use 1 physician for both treatments. They can actually be done at the same visit if both are needed. The doctor can do a complete plan to have both products work together. However, you must have a reason...so I would do Botox first to relax the muscles and then follow up with the filler. you might need less filler by doing it in this order.
Hello Ashley,When it comes to facial rejuvenation, it is best to have a single unified plan. It would not be my recommendation to get fillers and Botox by different doctors as they may have different goals for you. Having said that, if you ware going to get them from different injectors I would recommend the Botox first. The reason is that once the muscles are immobilized it can change how much filler is required to be injected. Of course, this only matters if you are getting Botox and fillers in similar locations (such as Botox to the crow's feet and filler to the tear trough or both to the glabella). I hope this helps and good luck.
Hello,Generally all pain relievers are safe for headache after your treatment but we recommend that you avoid blood-thinners the week prior. Check with your injector to see what they advise. All the best!
Thank you for your question. In short, no you cannot sweat out Botox nor can you "kill the Botox" effect. You have to wait about three months for the effects to wear off.All the best,Dr. ResultsMiami, FL
In your photo you do not appear to be a candidate for eyelid surgery at this point--possibly in another decade or so. In the meantime, you may try Botox in the crow's feet to give the appearance of a wider eye, and to raise your brows and upper lids.
