How many cup sizes can you go with fat transfer to breasts?

I tell my patients that I can typically achieve size enlargement by 1/2-1 full cup size. The breast lift may bring you down about 1/2 cup size with the skin tightening involved. I would recommend you see a Board Certified plastic surgeon, and you can find one close to you through plasticsurgery.org.Good luck!

It is possible to go up one to two cup sizes with fat grafting depending on how much excess skin there is.  In my practice we do a lot of fat grafting and often do fat grafting at the time of mastopexy to improve upper breast fullness.  Make sure you find a board certified plastic surgeon that performs fat grafting regularly as results can vary significantly.Good Luck,Jeremiah Redstone MD

Thank you for your question. Generally speaking you can expect to have a one cup size increase after one fat grafting session. This is typically true when someone wants to go from a B cup to a C cup. In your case, you sound like you have more volume to your present breasts and may appreciate a larger volume increase. You would need to have a consultation for precise recommendations.

Thank for posting.  Fat grafting can be a very god way to  obtain modest increase in size (usually only 1/2 to 1 cup).  Of course, you get to give away fat from area(s) where you may not love it, and you can not have implant related problems (which, fortunately, are uncommon).  If you desire 1 cup or more increase in size, implants are the preferred method.  please see attached web link.  Good luck

Breast augmentation with silicone implants is the best way, in my opinion, for a soft, natural feeling breast enlargement procedure.  I would not recommend using fat grafting for a significant increase in breast size.  I like my patients to be happy and fat grafting has not been shown to provide significant increases in volume. 

One cup size is a reasonable expectation. You will need an assessment to determine if you have enough donor fat.  Results are variable in every individual. An in-person exam with a

Fat grafting is not likely to produce the increase in bra size that you are seeking. First, you have to have fat for the graft and, at your weight, it is not likely that you would have enough.  Secondly, fat grafting can have differential "take".  In general, it is not intended to produce more than a very small change in the size of the breasts.  There are other issues including how the fat appears on mammography, which is problematic.  Breast augmentation with implants, particularly the new "gummy" silicones, can produce an excellent, lasting and natural appearance.  The larger the augment, the more contrived it would appear.  Breast lift is often combined with augmentation.  I will also caution that, by going to a DD, you are setting yourself up for more sagging down the road simply based on the effects of gravity.

Fat grafting to breasts often does n to take as well as to the buttocks of to the face.  It is likely going to require multiple treatments. Implants may be a more reliable choice.

Fat grafting works well for women who want mild to moderate breast augmentation. Going from a C cup to a DD cup likely is not tenable with fat grafting unless you take it on as a staged procedure...that could get costly for you.   A significant variable is how lax your breast tissue is ..if its lax - more fat can be injected per session.BRAVA negative pressure devices can be used pre-operatively to maximize the benefits and "take" of your fat grafts.  Make sure to touch base with someone who has an extensive practice with fat grafting - there is an art to doing it well.

Fat grafting is a terrible way to enlarge your breasts. Usually most of the fat that is injected gets reabsorbed into your body and the improvement goes away. Your breasts can be left lumpy and deformed. If you are very lucky and most of the fat stays, usually enlargement is only 1/2 to 1 cup size. Implants are tried and true and safer than any other method available.
