hi!How long ago did you fill your philtrum? If it was recent, I would allow for 2-4 weeks for healing and swelling to go down. If it is been more than that and the issue persists, I would agree that dissolving is your only option as the filler is the root of the issue.
Thank you for reaching out with your concern. Overfilling of the philtrum can sometimes occur with dermal fillers, and there are a few options to consider for correction.Dissolving Fillers: Hyaluronic acid-based fillers can be dissolved using an enzyme called hyaluronidase. This is often the most immediate and effective way to reduce excess volume if the filler used is indeed hyaluronic acid-based.Natural Dissipation: Fillers naturally break down over time. Depending on the type and amount of filler used, you might consider waiting to see if the effect lessens naturally.Consultation with a Professional: It's crucial to consult with a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon who can assess your specific situation. They can provide personalized advice and discuss the potential outcomes and risks of each option. Please make sure to choose a qualified and experienced professional for any corrective procedures. If you have any further questions or need a referral, feel free to reach out.
If it has been over two weeks since your treatment dissolving the migrated filler would be the most reliable approach to correcting it. If you do nothing the filler will gradually be metabolized. If it is less than two weeks since your treatment you may want to wait longer for the filler to settle. See your injector to discuss your options.
Lip fillers, well shrink fairly rapidly. Many people consider lip fillers as lasting six months. This means that half of the filler will be gone in three months. The excessive volume will reduce down even within a few weeks.I personally recommend simply waiting rather than reversing the filler. Secondly you need to find a new injector. The lip volume ratio, the upper lip compared to the lower lip needs to be maintained when injecting fillers.Almost all people have a lower lip that’s larger than the upper lip. This ratio needs to be maintained in order to look normal. The majority of injectors are average.Finding an extraordinary injector requires doing some searching around the kid.The majority of providers are not exceptional. To get an idea of what quality filler work looks like consider checking out the results on the website of Dr. David Mabrie MD. in San Francisco.Real self doesn’t allow me to include a link so you’ll have to Google his name.David does the best filler based volume enhancement of anyone I know. His work is what I referred to as the gold standard.I’m not suggesting everybody to San Francisco to get fillers but understanding what quality work looks like can help people find better providers in their own community. best,Mats Hagstrom MD
From the photos you have nicely shaped, feminine lips. If you are wanting more volume you can consider adding filler for a fuller look. The nice thing about fillers is that you can go slowly and build up to the look you are wanting.
The lip fillers will eventually absorb. However, what I recommend for you in the future is a lip lift done in such a way that extra skin is taken laterally and not centrally. This will pull up the corners of the mouth which will correct the downward corners of the lips that give you a frowning...
Hi! It is possible that it is filler, but it would probably present differently if it was migration from your lip filler- almost as a mustache rather than a single bump. Was product injected above the lip for any reason? Certain fillers can cause something called granulomas, which are...
