The lip fillers will eventually absorb. However, what I recommend for you in the future is a lip lift done in such a way that extra skin is taken laterally and not centrally. This will pull up the corners of the mouth which will correct the downward corners of the lips that give you a frowning appearance. This can also improve the nasolabial folds. Having your lips enhanced with a filler has absolutely nothing to do with your nasolabial folds. The folds are different in every single individual as compared right to the left side. If you’re not happy with the way it looks, I would have a filler placed in there as well. You should also have a look at your pre-procedural photographs. I hope this helps. Good luck from Leonard Grossman MD, New York City, plastic surgery.
