425cc, gummies & devastated with mastopexy result, feedback please? (Photos)

Question

I need honest feedback, as my surgeon has refused to do a revision. I got a lift and implant in February 2024. I opted for an implant to add volume (425cc gummy) and upper pole fullness. This is what I ended up with and I am absolutely devastated. My breasts don’t look or feel much different than they were pre op. They’re just heavier now. My surgeon stated that I have an unrealistic expectation.

Thank you for your question. A large portion of my practice is dedicated to breast revision surgery, and I have been in practice almost 30 years. Many years ago, I pioneered a technique specifically for patients like you termed "Reductive Augmentation". This involves an internal bra-capsulorrhaphy, mastopexy-lift, and excision of the lower pole breast tissue. You should be able to have a beautiful appearing breast with this technique. I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

At this time, I recommend explantation and lift using The Bellesoma Method.  The implants are removed, your breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage.  Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained if not injured during your previous surgery.  Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired.

first, I am not a fan of the gummy implants since they are rather firm. Second, your implants are too heavy for your own sagging tissue to support. You were sagging to start and will keep sagging with added weight. You might consider another lift and going much smaller with implants placed behind the muscle. Long term, you still may sag because you sagged initially.
