determining whether you need simply a breast augmentation versus a breast lift can be somewhat complicated. It depends on a number of factors including skin laxity and current nipple position. Generally speaking, if the nipples are lower than the inframammary line the patient will most likely need a breast lift. If the nipples are at or above the inframammary line we can generally get by with just a breast augmentation depending on the size of the implant the patient wants. I often still using implant when I perform a breast lift because it provides more upper breast fullness after the lift. To be sure a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon will help determine what the patient actually needs.

I suspect your lateral pockets could be tightened and you may not need a lift. However, an examination is needed to be certain. Please discuss this with your surgeon.

If you downsize the implant, then the implant diameter will be smaller.
If you at the same time for higher profile implants than the diameter Will be reduced even further.
Doing so will not give you fullness in the upper half of your breast.
Based on nipple position, you don’t need a breast lift, but at the same time, the skin envelope is somewhat stretched.Some of this is based on what tissue is supporting the gravitational pull of the implant.
If the implant is properly held in place by the connective tissue around the pectoralis muscle, then the implant should not be contributing to gravitational pull on the skin of the breast.
Tightening the lower part of the implant pocket may help put the implant in a higher position.
