How is the healing process from both? How will i be able to lay/sit while healing?
Answer: Healing After Simultaneous Tummy Tuck and BBL - Maximizing Results Dear Goddesszhy, Your question is very common among patients who are considering simultaneous tummy tuck and Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedures. Balancing the healing process for both can be a bit challenging but it is definitely manageable with the right precautions. Post-operatively, it's important to avoid direct pressure on the buttocks for about two weeks following a BBL to ensure that the transferred fat cells survive. This usually means avoiding sitting or lying directly on your back. However, since you're also planning on a tummy tuck, lying on your stomach won't be immediately possible either. In this scenario, a BBL pillow will become your best friend during recovery. This pillow is designed to elevate your buttocks, relieving pressure, and allowing you to sit or lie on your back without damaging the newly transferred fat cells. You'll essentially be resting on your thighs rather than your buttocks. I must admit, it may be slightly uncomfortable at first, but my patients tell me they quickly get used to it and find it the best position for post-operative recovery when having both procedures done simultaneously. You will also need to wear compression garments for both your tummy and buttocks. These help to minimize swelling and to contour the body. Remember, it's crucial to follow your surgeon's post-op instructions closely, as each surgeon may have slightly different recommendations based on your individual circumstances and their personal surgical techniques. Best of luck with your upcoming procedures! Dr. Katzen

Answer: Tummy Tuck & BBL Combo Thank you for your question. It is perfectly fine to combine both procedures. I perform many BBL & tummy tuck combo procedures at my practice. That said, you do have to consider that the healing process is more difficult since two procedures are being done vs. only one. Sleeping/ laying and sitting is a bit more complex since you have to care for the front and back part of your body. I would recommend getting a proper evaluation by a board certified plastic surgeon. Take care, Moises Salama MD, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Tummy tuck and BBL Due to patient comfort during recovery these procedures are often staged. For the tummy tuck to heal you will need to lay on your back. For the BBL results to be optimized you will need to lay on your front. Laying on your side is the remaining option. I encourage you to discuss your concerns with your surgeon.

Answer: TT + BBL Hi, thank you for sharing your question. While these two procedure can be done safely with good results, my recommendation for optimizing your BBL results would be to stage the tummy tuck several months after the BBL. I hope this helps.

Answer: Combination of procedures Dear zhyonaje, I understand your concern. It is best however that you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine whether you can have several aesthetic surgeries in one session, as this would depend on various factors including but not limited to your general health condition, the type of anesthesia that will be used, and the type of surgeries that will be performed among others.
