I have "apple cheeks" not necessarily in the lower part but near the anterior. I'm not sure if buccal fat removal will fix this. I want my face to look how it did when I was 15 pounds slimmer( i prefer my weight now). I've noticed as I gained weight my cheeks are fuller and starting to sag more causing a drippy appearance and smile lines. I'm 20 years old for reference

Answer: Maybe Hi Gentle. It's hard to know for sure without seeing some other angles of your face (side/oblique). I think you could benefit from it but I would temper your expectations in terms of how much improvement you will get. I believe it should slim you from the sides but not necessarily the anterior fullness (as you noted).

Answer: Buccal Fat Removal Hello, hope you are well. The answer to your question depends on your aesthetic goals. Buccal fat removal is useful for slimming the lower aspect of the cheek lateral to the corner of the mouth. I don't appreciate a lot of fullness there in the photos you submitted, and I don't think that's what you're referring to. "Apple cheeks" usually refers to the youthful fullness high under the eyes and lateral to the nose (demonstrated best in the photo of you smiling). Buccal fat removal will not reduce that fullness. It would be helpful for you to meet in-person to discuss further. Best,Dr. Tower
