Eyelid surgery gone wrong - is there any way to restore my original look? (Photo)

I had double eyelid surgery in 2017. I was told I would look refreshed after the procedure. It has been 7 years and I am So unhappy with my results. My right eye has completely lost its original shape. My waterlines are showing. They look hollow ands sunken. Is there anything that can be done to restore my originals look?

I do not agree with the individuals who have answered you. It is possible to reconstruct these over-resected upper eyelids. The skin you need to have an innie eyelid like your surgery result is about the skin you need to have an outie eyelid like your presurgical eyelid. A detailed, in person examination is needed to determine what resources still exist in the eyelid for this reconstruction. Primarily I need to determine how much upper eyelid excursion is in the eyelid, how high is your upper eyelid crease, how is your levator aponeurosis tendon attached, and is there retained preaponeurotic fat. This information can be determined at the time of consultation. If you are a candidate for eyelid reconstruction, both eyelids are operated on during a single operative session under light intravenous sedation in an accredited operating room. Generally my out of town patients are here is Los Angeles for about a week before returning home. If you do not like graphic surgical videos. please do not watch this video. Yes, it is often possible to have your eyelid restored to its appearance before your eyelid surgery even 7 years later.

Thank you for sharing your experience and posting your question. For the hollowing in the upper and lower eyelids careful placement of filler by an experienced oculoplastic surgeon might help with the appearance.. Further surgery would not be appropriate.

Hi DCYoung!Seems like you had a blepharoplasty and what you're noticing is a superior sulcus deformity. This is often seen when too much fat is taken during the time of surgery. Possible options are fat grafting or filler to the superior sulcus which can give more volume and more of a youthful look.
