Already had a consultation with a lady at the clinic I plan to go to , but the doctor was out that day, so couldnt get too many details. she said that my eyes would be difficult for eyelid surgery, and that I would need ptosis correction, and she was concerned about the hollows above my eyes. I have only ever been able to achieve double eyes with eyelid tape used with fake eyelashes with a hard band, so I suspected that my eyes would be quite difficult to work with. Was also wondering if I would need to get an epicanthoplasty to get ideal results. For my ideal shape, Im fine with a tapered eyelid as long as the line is visible and my eyelashes are not weighted down. I have a consultation with the doctor next month but was just wondering if I could get some opinions before then., or if this surgery is even possible for my eyes, thank you.
Im planning to have two separate procedures performed by different surgeons, starting with rhinoplasty. How long should I wait after the rhinoplasty before undergoing a brow lift and upper/lower blepharoplasty?
I had double eyelid surgery 3.5 years ago, and a unilateral ptosis correction on my left eye 2 years ago (the original double eyelid surgery made the ptosis more pronounced and caused a heavy feeling on my eyelid which is still present). Before the surgery, I showed the doctor several pictures of the Korean style tapered, low crease height examples that I felt looked most similar to my existing eye shape and crease (I am Korean). After the surgery I was immediately concerned by the incisions as the inner corners were very high/cut differently than my original crease lines. My swelling took over a year to resolve and I still experience chronic intermittent swelling and a feeling of heaviness on my left eyelid, which is why I chose the ptosis correction. The ptosis correction temporarily improved the appearance and heaviness by about 40% but I feel it has returned to its original condition. I have never been happy with the results for a few reasons- I feel the creases are too high and bulging in the inner corners. The creases look too deep and make me look tired, and my left eyelid always feels tired and heavy. When I look at my doctors photos of his other Asian patients, they have a similar result that I feel is different than the traditional Korean style I showed him pictures of. His office team say my results are natural and the creases are even, but I am self conscious and unhappy with the way my eyes look (puffy, uneven). Am I a candidate for revision?
I am 8 months post op from incisional double eyelid surgery with ptosis correction and epicanthoplasty. The left eye in the picture covers more pupil and crease is thicker than the right. Was my ptosis under-corrected or is the crease height too high? How can I fix this?
I'm born with existing double eyelids but I want a deeper crease, thicker fold and less fat and skin on my eyelids. I've consulted some doctors who have recommended me to get my ptosis fixed as well during surgery. I'm not sure if I should just do upper blepharoplasty or include ptosis as well? I know I don't have a strong eye opening muscle and use my forehead a lot, but aesthetically I don't want a bug eyed appearance or to have lower eyebrows . Some ptosis results dont look aesthetic to me. My goal eyes are like kendall jenner or bella hadid with lid space and lifted brows. Would just an upper blepharoplasty make me look even worst and sleepier?
I got double eyelid surgery and epicanthoplasty in Vietnam twice. The first time I was left with uneven eyelids as well as very visible hypertrophic scars on both inner corners of my eyes. I went back for a revision 6 months ago in which the lids are now even, however the scars healed hypertrophic again. Will this go away? The photo shows how my eyes look currently. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you kindly.
I am a 24 year old North Indian Female with: - deepset - bulging/protruding eyes - where my outer eye crease ends way past and below my outer eye corner I want to know: (1) What procedure can prevent wrinkle #1 from descending below the lateral end of my eye corner? (I would prefer this wrinkle NOT be downward pointing as it drags my eye area down) (2) What procedure can reduce my Eyelid crease fold #2 from going laterally past the end of my outer eye corner? (3) Is there a procedure for the above that will not remove the hooded nature of my eyelids? I would like the middle of my upper eyelid crease (right above the highest point of my eyeball) to look the same. Ive ALWAYS had the skin below my eyebrows hit my upper eyelids, and if that was changed, I would look very uncanny and it would be unsuitable on my face.
Hello. Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Im having a double eyelid surgery in December, but am also wanting to undergo a revision liplift. Both of these procedures I would be awake, using local anesthesia. How long would I have to wait between each surgery? Could I have them within a day of each other?
I had nasally tapered double eyelids and wanted to keep my nasally tapered inner corner but just wanted my double eyelids space in the middle and ends of eyes to be wider. However, the doctor did the opposite. and made the inner corner wider into a parallel shape and the space in the outer eye narrower. Is there a way to make the inner corners back into tapered or at least lower it so there isn't that big space nasally?
Ive recently learned that I have blocked oil glands around my eyelids, which is why I get chalazions and styes occasionally. (Note, I dont have dry eyes.) Im considering whether or not to have IPL treatment for my Meibomian Gland Dysfunction before getting double eyelid surgery. Even if I dont have an active chalazion, would MGD affect chances of success and recovery for the double eyelid surgery?
