I’ve just rescently noticed this dent on my nose and I’m concerned.
Answer: Subcision+/- Filler Can Help To Elevate All Kinds Of Dents The precisie cause of the indentation is impossible to determine simply from the photo. Indentations may result from fat atrophy or from scars resulting from acne, trauma, surgery, chickenpox etc. What can be said is that subcision +/- filler can help to elevate and smooth all kinds of indented scars, including those on the nose. Over the years, I have treated all kinds of indented scars on the nose, including those from acne and chickenpox, as well as from dog bit trauma and even from previously performed surgical punch excisions performed elsewhere to treat acne and chickenpox scars. Although complications from filler injection, either alone or in combination with subcision, are uncommon, you would be wise to consult an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist, especially if considering the use of a filler in this region. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Answer: Hard to say, but you likely need a Rhinoplasty (Nosejob) | Facial Plastic Surgery | Expert | Non-Surgical | Filler | Liquid Hello and thank you for your question! I actually just answered your similar question- for those who did not see it, please see my response below: Honestly, it's hard to tell exactly what's going on given the limited pictures provided (which are both very cropped and low resolution). From what I can tell, you likely have a complex issue that requires expert-level correction. A bulbous nasal tip with associated irregularities and asymmetries like yours can only be properly and permanently addressed through rhinoplasty—fillers simply don’t have the structural strength to achieve the necessary changes. Many surgeons overlook key techniques that can otherwise soften the appearance of underlying structures, significantly improving tip shape and refinement. These specialized maneuvers require a high level of expertise and experience, which most surgeons simply do not have. Given your history, an open septorhinoplasty would most likely be the best approach to precisely reshape your nasal tip, address the "dent," improve your symmetry, and restore overall balance. In addition to reshaping your nose aesthetically, your septal cartilage (or an alternative graft material) would be used to create structural grafts, reinforcing key areas like the columella (the strip of tissue between your nostrils). This is crucial to maintaining long-term symmetry and preventing future distortions. Rhinoplasty is one of the most technically demanding procedures in all of plastic surgery—millimeters make all the difference. If a surgeon is only performing one or two rhinoplasties per month, they simply do not have the level of experience necessary to achieve the best possible result. Your nose defines your entire face—this is NOT a surgery to leave in the hands of just anyone. I have had extensive training in complex rhinoplasty, working under one of the highest-volume rhinoplasty surgeons in the world (who performs 1,000+ nose surgeries per year). If you’re serious about getting the best possible result, I’d be happy to see you for a consultation (Virtual or In-Person) where we can discuss your goals, perform a detailed examination, and create a customized plan for your ideal nose. I look forward to helping you achieve the refined, balanced nose you deserve! Dr. Donald Groves Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon

Answer: What is this dent on my nose and how do I fix it? Your photo appears to be a close-up of your nasal tip on profile. The crease above your nostril margin is a "supraalar crease". If it's deeper than the other side, microdroplet Silikon-1000 may be considered for achieving tip symmetry. Hope this helps! Dr Joseph
