I suggest a healthy diet, it is not necessary to loose weight before surgery, you just need to take care of your diet and to make sure that the previous exams are as good as possible. Skip the junk foods. Your board certified plastic surgeon will typically give you a list of medications to avoid before and after surgery. Be sure to eat a balanced diet. I recommend that my patients take 100 grams of protein each day during the healing phase for the first six weeks following surgery. This protein can be in the form of manufactured premier protein shakes or optimum whey protein added to milk or water. The objective is not weight gain but promotion of healing.

I suggest people eat a healthy diet with a diversity of foods primarily based on plant material.

Each person decides on their own what they should eat. There’s no particular diet that helps with surgery except avoiding being nutritionally depleted.
