6 weeks post op, old crease line still showing. Is this normal? (photos)

There is a small chance that this issue could improve with time. But I have not found it to be the norm in my practice. Lowering the breast crease, either on purpose or otherwise, often leads to headaches. It appears as if your implant is settling below the natural breast fold. The likely progression of events is not towards self correction and you will likely require another procedure to reset the fold. The original crease could soften some in the coming months, but it will likely result in either the implant appearing too low on the chest wall or the nipple appearing much too high on the breast. Either way, the distance between the nipple and the fold will be asymmetric with the opposite side and will not appear aesthetic. I would suggest having a capsulorrhaphy procedure to reset the breast crease back to its original position even if that meant that the right implant would sit slightly higher on the chest compared to the left. In the end, I think that this will look more natural and attractive. 

hi There,you are right, your infra-mammary fold is still showing...for the moment.at 6 weeks, you should be cleared to exercise by your surgeon, so hit the gym, do the fly machines etc...there are plenty of videos on youtube posted for exercises after breast augmentation !then also, do your own massage, and push the implant downward, as many times you can during the day.you may get away with it, and your tissue will stretch and the right breast will round up at 6 months.so you have another 4 1/2 month to work on it, and you may be able to avoid revision.post the pics at 6 months !good luck,Florence Mussat

It looks like your fold was lowered and the original fold has not expanded around the implant. This may or may nor get better with time.

Chances are that the crease from the original breast fold will become less and less noticeable, but it may take up to six months. Although before photos would be helpful, it looks from the after pix that the surgeon used proper judgement in lowering the fold.All the best.
