Swelling 18 days after FUE hair transplant surgery. What can I do?

Hello Doctor, I did FUE hair transplant surgery 18 days ago. The forehead is seen swelled now. I called the doctor since I'm living overseas. He said that if the swelling happens, it should occur in 2-3 days. In my case it is after 18 days. What can I do?

It is not normal to have swelling 18 days after surgery.  It is best to contact your doctor for a follow up.

Swelling after a procedure is not uncommon in the first week but for 18 days it is unusual.i would recommend consulting a local Hair Restoration expert to evaluate the swelling and rule out causes such as infection.

Significant swelling within the first week, maybe sometimes two, is not uncommon. However, after 18 days any swelling should be gone by now. You should make an appointment with your doctor to examine the area as soon as possible.

Actually mild forehead swelling may occur just after the surgery and continue for aweek or more. If your edema started after 18 days ıt could be serious and be sign of an infection etc.
