I'm on day 2 post op from an FUE hair transplant surgery. I've lost a couple of grafts and it appears that some of the grafts may be halfway out. They are scabed over so I've just left them alone. Will they survive and is that normal?

Answer: Grafts appear to look halfway out two days post op. The photos of your scalp appear to be normal for your history of FUE procedure and post op day 2. Be gentle with the grafts for the next 4 more days and they should be locked in by then. In the next week, try to gently massage the scabs off during washing for the next 7 days. After two week, all of the scabs should be gone. Below is a link to our FUE post op. It follows the general rules of most experienced clinics.

Answer: Some of the grafts may be halfway out Transplanted graft’s hair starts to shedding in the first week of surgery and may go on untill 4-6 th weeks after surgery. İt is not surprising to lost approx. %70-80 of all transplanted hair shafts in first month when you are washing, gently rubbing or touching the head. İt is shock loss and not permanent.
