Does minoxidil make new Hair growth from a follicle that has only 1 or 2 hairs?

I was told that a single follicle can have up-to 3 hairs and during balding these follicle will come to a stage where in they have only one hair and then no hair. Does Using minoxidil reverse this even at a late stage?

Use growth factors such as rogaine or propecia. Shock loss is due to the loss of normal hair whether it is from donor site or recipient area.  It can occur with both FUE and strip procedures.  Usually if it occurs it will take place in the recipient area.   Shock loss from hair transplant can...

I cut my head on recipient area 5 weeks after FUE and there was a speck of blood, did I lose my graft? (photos)

If you cut your scalp and had some bleeding you may have lost a graft (or not).  There is no way to tell.  Losing one graft probably would not make a difference in the overall results.

Why is exercise bad after FUE?

After hair transplant we ask patients to avoid exercise for 7-10 days because once you exercise, the blood supplies goes to your muscles. We want to enough blood supply to remain in the scalp, so these grafts can survive.

We do not recommend young patient before the age of 25 to perform a hair transplantation as the hair loss will go on and this means that you will need more surgeries in the upcoming years. Therefore you should start to use minoxidil and finasterid to prevent hair loss and maybe 2-3 years later ...

Recipient area feels numb because superficial nerves get damaged during the hair transplant by any of the technique. These usually recover by 3-4 months.

Will using minoxidil once a day still work - 6 months post-op.

We recommend our patients to start 20 days after the surgery with Rogaine  5% (Minoxidil) foam spray twice a day but this can change due to your own surgeons recommendation. Please consult with your surgeon about his/her after care recommendations.
