Could this ridge be scar tissue from years of lip fillers? (Photos)

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs.  This appears to be lip filler that was placed close to the lip skin surface.  This can be easily treated with placement of hyaluronidase dissolving products.  Hope this helps.

Hello and thank you for your question.  Although it is hard to tell for certain from the photos you provided, this seems to be filler that was injected too superficially.  This can be corrected with careful placement of hyaluronidase that will dissolve the filler.  Be sure to seek an experienced injector who specializes in facial aesthetics.  Best of luck.

Hello. That ridge is not scar tissue  from fillers. That’s a fairly common occurrence on the oral mucosa that occurs in areas where there is friction (linea alba). The fillers may be related only in the sense that if your lips are fuller,  they may be rubbing your teeth in that area. Biting the lip and mouth appliances can also contribute. I’ve seen it in many patients with no history of filler. Your dentist should  be able to verify this.   Hope this helps!

Often dry mouth, irritation from teeth, retainers, straightening devices (braces or plastic impression trays) can show up as a ridge on the inside of the upper and lower lips. Filler deep in the lip tissues might "push" the lip tissue closer to the teeth. This does not look like scar tissue and does not look like filler - as best I can tell from the photo. If you were my patient, I would advise you NOT to have this dissolved with enzyme - especially if you are not "over-filled". Just allow the filler to gradually dissolve on its own.
